Five-Year Capital Road Improvement Plan for the Highway Department
Every year the Town Board passes a resolution that outlines the five-year plan for highway capital improvements. The rolling plan is reviewed, updated and re-adopted annually. The current plan was revised and updated by Town Board approval May 12, 2025 with Resolution Number 23 of 2025
2025
* Canadice Hill Road: from Harriet Hollister Park South to Tibbals Road. Trim overhanging tree canopy, box out chronic soft spots and fill with bank run gravel for strength. Spread and compact a new layer of crushed gravel to reshape and resurface.
* Canadice Hill Road: 0.65 of a mile from Ross Road, South to just past the entrance to Harriet Hollister Park. 4.5 inch structural cold mix pave and surface treat with one shot of oil and stone. Reconstruct shoulders with crushed stone/gravel.
* Johnson Hill Road: 3000 foot-long section just west of Canadice Lake Road. Box out failing base material and replace with 12 inches of bank run gravel, Pave with a dense graded hot asphalt binder. Box out and asphalt patch several other spots between there and South Old Bald Hill Road that were damaged during this past winter.
2026
* Canadice Hill Road: 1.51 miles from Harriet Hollister Park south to Tibbals Road. 4.5 inch structural cold mix pave and surface treat with one shot of oil and stone. Reconstruct shoulders with crushed stone/gravel.
* Canadice Hill Road: 2.16 miles from Ross Road to Tibbals Road, surface treat new mix pave with second shot of oil and stone.
2027
* Luckenbach Hill Road: 1.55 miles from County Road 37 to Ross Road; reconstruct southern ditch line near Ross Road, 2.5 inch structural warm mix pave overlay. Reconstruct the shoulders with crushed stone/gravel.
2028
* Luckenbach Hill Road: 1.55 miles from County Road 37 to Ross Road; surface treat with a single shot of oil and stone over previous years asphalt.
* Canadice Lake Road: 2.18 miles from Burch Hill Road north to the Richmond town line. Cold mix pave overlay, surface treat with a single shot of oil and stone. Reconstruct the shoulders with crushed stone/gravel.
2029
* Old Bald Hill Road South: Approximately two (2) miles starting at the South entrance off State Route 15A and heading North. Cold In Place Recycle and surface treat with a single shot of oil and stone. Reconstruct the shoulders with crushed stone/gravel.
